NUTURA® Vitamin D3 Liposomal
When using the liposomal form of the NUTURA® Vitamin D3, the bioavailability/absorbability of vitamin D is many times higher than traditional vitamin D3 supplements.
In the NUTURA® Liposomal Vitamin D3 Spray, the nutrients are 'packaged' in liposomes. Liposomes are tiny fatty spheres that occur naturally when water is mixed with lecithin, a natural constituent of sunflower oil. Liposomes consist of phospholipids whose structure is identical to that of a cell wall, making them easier and better absorbed by the body. It also protects vitamin D from degradation and oxidation.
Vitamin D3 is encapsulated in the liposomes. The result is an improved absorption of vitamin D3 in the blood and body cells.
The production of vitamin D is mainly activated by sunlight on the skin. It is generally insufficiently obtained from the diet. The last few decades have brought about major changes in daily life and eating habits. We work more indoors, travel by car or train, exercise in fitness centres, computer games, doctors/dermatologists advise to avoid sunlight on the skin as much as possible and we wear clothes that cover ± 95 of our body. In artificial light and behind glass, no vitamin D3 is produced in the skin. A striking detail is that a recent study shows that the population of sunny Miami suffers from major vitamin D deficiencies due to high factor sunscreen products. All this under the influence of insufficient sunlight on the skin makes the increasing vitamin D deficiency an alarming health factor.
The role of vitamin D is becoming increasingly important. Not only for the best known risk groups such as the elderly, young children, pregnant and veiled women, but even for the entire population it is clear that vitamin D plays an important role in the body. Vitamin D is an important vitamin for many bodily functions. It contributes to the absorption of calcium and phosphorus from the diet and increases the absorption of lime in the bones. But vitamin D also contributes to the normal functioning of the muscles and to the maintenance of normal teeth. It also contributes to normal cell division and helps the (natural) immune system of the body cells.
Vitamin D helps to reduce the risks of falling, in connection with postural instability and muscle weakness. Falling is a risk factor for bone fractures in men and women over the age of 60.
